Susanna Mesa

Chief Operating Officer

Susanna is a global strategy and operations leader with a strong track record of growing biotechnology companies, driving strategy, and supporting successful capital raises, with more than $1.3 billion in capital raised to date. She has led corporate planning, product strategy, finance, and business operations across various organizations. Most recently, she served as SVP of Strategy & Operations at Prothena, where she supported a strategic transformation that enabled the organization to expand into a new therapeutic area. She also led capital markets and corporate development at Alector during a key post-IPO phase. Prior to Alector, as Chief Business Officer at DBV Technologies, she led the company’s expansion into the U.S. and enabled its NASDAQ IPO.

Susanna earned her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Georgia, where she serves as a member of the SPIA Board of Visitors, an independent advisory body to the School of Public & International Affairs.
